Inconel 718 Springs - Heat Treatments

Product Form	Heat Treatment after forming
Wire, No 1 temper, or spring temper	1. Solution Anneal at 980oC (1800oF) for 1 hour and air cool and 2. Age harden at 720oC (1330oF) for 8 hours and furnace cool to 620oC (1150oF) and hold at 620oC (1150oF) for a total age hardening time of 18 hours and air cool. (Constant-temperature precipitation treatment)
Wire	1200°F/4 hr, Air Cool (Constant-temperature precipitation treatment)
Wire, spring temper	2100°F/2 anneal + 1550°F/24 hr, AC + 1300°F/20 hr, Air Cool (Triple heat treatment).
